Astra Boutique Hotel

Location-wise: 🤩 Few minutes from the central station. You can take the bus, tram, train or ferry from there. Walkable from the main tourist spots. I’m a slow walker so it took me 20mins to get there. Panoramic views: 🥰 Rooftop is superb! Sunrise, sunset or anytime of the day, the view is really amazing. It’s priceless!! You can use the guitar, sing a song and enjoy the beautiful view. Customer service: Lokman (I call himLuke) really is a nice guy. You can send them a message on whatsapp anytime of the day. Even asked him how to buy Istanbul card and how to ride the tram. He will provide everything you need as much as he can. There is another guy with him who is always night shift but failed to get his name. He’s a nice guy too. Our flight is early but he let us in just to leave the luggage and roam around the town until our room is ready. They also let us stay after check out. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope more tourist will find your place. 😊

This place offered preety everything shown in the available pictures. Nice, small but clean and functional rooms that are ideally perfect for 2 people wanting to explore the city for some days. Me and my friends booked the 3 person room which had a double bed and a little opening couch, which was a bit uncomfortable to be honest, but did the job just find eventually. The stuff we met was actually fluent in english and very very helpful to us, giving us all sorts of advice for properly expiriencing the city and responding to anything we needed for our stay within minutes, which is deeply appreciated. Plus, they were really cool and fun guys. As for the location, I would definitely say that its NOT a risky nor dangerous place to live, although is might seem so, due the neighbourhood being a bit on the poor and local type side of things. However, the people around are preety much ok, plus you can find every kind of store near the hotel (for food and cigarretes etc) for almost any hours of the day. (also the prices are ridiculously cheaper than those of the touristic places). The hotel is also in the center of everything in Istanbul. You can walk to the hagia sophia and the grand bazzaar easily and the Metro line 2 is just 5 minutes away. All in all if I ever found myself in Istanbul again I would definitely choose this place for a quick stay. P.S. The rooftop was our chilling spot during our vacation and the view totally worth it.

What can we say about Lokman and his team? They went out their way to make our stay in Istanbul a memorable and comfortable trip. After a long day of exploring the city their place took the stress out it, to be able to relax in an environment that nearly felt like staying at a person's home. The breakfast each morning on the terrace was the highlight but also conversations with Lokman and the others. Lokman went out of his way to make us feel welcome, fulfilling some requests we had of him from booking a taxi to the airport on our return, giving advice on places to visit, even about local food and history. The highlight for myself was him helping me get a traditional shave at a local barber's, you don't see that kind of attention to guests anywhere. We really didn't want to leave Astra and Istanbul after our experience, it makes us want to return. Till we meet again Lokman!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for several days in November. The room is very beautiful and has an interesting design. The hotel is close to the subway and tram. The owner was really nice. He showed us everything when we checked-in. He also allowed us change our booking dates due to our flight cancellation. Breakfast was on the open terrace with great view. It was served beautifully but not filling enough. There were an egg, some cheese, some fruits and vegetables, and a lot of bakery.

Very clean, nicely furnished small hotel, in a calm and romantic small street, in a few steps from the crowded wharf. Very close to the Halic metro station. Good turkish breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the Golden Horn Bay. The guys managing the hotel, serving breakfast are very nice and helpful.
